Day 1: Depart for the Iringa Town

Early in the morning after enjoying breakfast, you will depart for Iringa town and you will arrive at Kitonga restaurant for your lunch. Later you will continue to Isimila Hotel

Day 2: Transfer to Ruaha National Park

After enjoy your breakfast, proceed to Ruaha National Park and arrive in time for lunch at the Ruaha River Lodge. At exactly 3:00pm, proceed for an evening game drive with in the park. This national park is so unspoiled and it’s located in central Tanzania. It covers over 10,000sq km and carries over 8000 tuskers which makes it the largest elephant sanctuary in the whole country. There is also the Ruaha River which is so spectacular and flows along the park’s border in the eastern side, it hosts many crocodiles as well as hippos. This river is also the park’s life blood and provides water to the waterbuck, buffalos and the reedbuck. It also attracts many predators including the lions, leopards, jackal, and wild dogs, hyenas. There are also many animals found in the plains with in the grasslands of the Ruaha and these include; greater and the lesser Kudu, the impalas, the sable and the roan antelopes, zebras, giraffes, grant gazelles, and the dik dik. The birds here are so plenty and are over 370 species and these have been recorded. You will proceed to Ruaha River Lodge which is the only lodge located along the banks of the great Ruaha River.

Day 3: Explore Ruaha National Park

Have breakfast and after check out of the lodge and with your picnic lunch, enjoy a full day game tour with in the park. You will view many animals as you carry out the game drives..

Day 4: Transfer to Mikumi National Park

In the morning by 8:00am, check out from the lodge and enjoy a short game drive before continuing to Kitonga Inn at Iringa for your lunch. After drive to Mikumi National park. This park is located 300km from Dar es Salaam and is accessible for those coming from Tanzania’s capital city. The prominent features of this national park ate the Mikumi flood plains, as well as the mountain ranges which rise on the two sides of this park.

You will view many elephants, zebras, buffalos, giraffes, crocodiles, hippos, elands, wildebeests and the hartebeests. The wild dogs as well as the lions are also among the carnivores found here.At the southern end of the plain, you will find the yellow baboon. There are also 300 bird species and have been recorded in the park. Many of these are Eurasian migrants that stay between October and April.

Day 5: Transfer to Dar es Salaam

Early in the morning, you will enjoy a game drive in Mikumi National park and enjoy the sights of giraffes, birds and lions. You will then return for lunch and after drive to Dar es Salaam.
