Tour overview

The safari will take you to Masai Mara game reserve where you will view the wildebeest migration and many other animals, get to visit Ngorongoro Conservation Area where you will get to visit the crater with variety of animals including the elephants and the lions. The Serengeti national park will also be visited and get chance to view the annual migration of the wildebeest and the zebras. Lake Manyara is also part of the safari and it harbors tree climbing lions.

Detailed Itinerary

Arrival at the Airport

You will arrival at the airport and meet with our company representative who will then transfer you to the hotel. Depending on your flight details, you may have some optional dinner at the carnivore restaurant that is famous for the game meat restaurant with in Africa.

Day 1: Transfer to Masai Mara Game reserve

You will be picked up from the hotel by 8:00am and then after our representative will drive you via the scenic Rift valley and stopover at this great Rift valley for so photo taking session and then proceed with your journey to the Mara reserve arriving in time for lunch. In the afternoon, continue for a game drive to view some animals.

Day 2: Explore Masai Mara Game reserve

Spend a full day exploring the park in search for the big five that trail the wildebeest migration of herds and the predators. The optional activity might be the balloon safari that can be arranged at an extra cost. Have an overnight stay at Mara Sentrim Lodge and offers wildlife in abundance and there are over 450 bird species that are recorded. You will as well see many animal including; hippos, lions, crocodiles, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffalos, leopards, as well as the wild dogs. It’s the Mara with the most spectacular event of the natural world that takes places. This is also the annual migration of over millions of wildebeests and zebras from the Serengeti in search for pasture and water. These animals are also followed by the predators like the lions, wild dogs, hyenas, vultures and the jackal.

Day 3: Transfer to Serengeti National Park

Have breakfast and after proceed to Serengeti via the Isebania/ Sirari border with the packed lunch. You will view lots of game as we proceed to Serenegti Kati kati tented camp for your dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Explore Serengeti National Park

Enjoy a full day game viewing animals in the park plains. Your dinner and overnight will be at Serengeti kati Kati tented camp. This park is the most famous in Tanzania and it’s also the largest park which is over 4,763 sq km of this protected area which borders Kenya’s Masai Mara game park. This is also where the migration takes place and it’s famous. There are over one million wildebeests and 200,000 zebras that flow from to the south from the northern hills towards the southern plains in the short rains of October and November and in the long rains of April, May and June. You will observe the travel of the wildebeests through variety of parks, reserves, protected areas as well as the habitants. You will be able to explore the forms of vegetation as well as the land scape of the Serengeti ecosystems as well as the fascinating inhabitants.

 Day 5: Transfer to Ngorongoro via the Olduvai Gorge

Have a morning game drive and then return to the lodge for breakfast and then continue south wards towards the Ngorongoro crater via the historical Olduvai Gorge as you enjoy game viewing which will be interrupted by a picnic lunch enroute.  You will stay at the Ngororngoro Rhino Lodge and the gorge passes the rock beds that are layered in sequence from over 2 million years to the present. It’s also the place where humanoid bones were found dating back to over .75 million years including the ancestor of man. There are also the fossil foot prints that have been found here and these are the most ancient foot prints that have yet been discovered. You will also discovered a nice site museum to view the diggings.

Day 6: Explore Ngorongoro crater

Have breakfast and after leave with your packed lunch for a full day crater tour. You will go down to over 2000ft the crater by a vehicle. Get to explore this crater before going back to Ngorongoro wildlife lodge for your dinner and overnight. This crater is also called Africa’s Eden as well as the 8th Natural wonder of the world. Visiting this crater is the main highlight of the safari.

Day 7: Transfer to Arusha-Nairobi

Have breakfast and after drive to Arusha and arrive by mid-day. Have lunch at the famous Clouds View Hotel and then transfer to the airport for your flight back home. The optional can be to travel to Nairobi by a scheduled safari shuttle.
