Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Lake Manyara National Park

You will be picked up from Arusha and be driven to Lake Manyara National Park. We shall arrive in time and have lunch at the lodge as we prepare for an afternoon game drive in the park. The national park is one of Tanzania’s most dramatically situated wildlife areas. It consists of very massive shallow soda lake that covers over two thirds of this park. It’s situated at the foot of the Great Rift Valley in the western escarpment. This national park has got varied habitants that attracts variety of animals including; the largest concentration of elephants, tree climbing lions as well as large flocks of flamingos that are attracted by the algae in the lake.

Day 2: Drive to Serengeti National Park

Have breakfast and after transfer to Serengeti National Park, via the lying farm land of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and the Karatu. You will the highlands behind you and then descend into the great heart of the African wild, the Serengeti national park which has got the endless plains that roll into the distance as far as the eyes can see. We shall then head to the central park area called the Seronera area which is one of the richest wildlife habitats with in the park and it features the Seronera River, that provides the valuable water source to this great area and attracts wildlife that represent the famous Serengeti species. We shall arrive in time for lunch and then enjoy an afternoon game drive in Serengeti National park.

Day 3: Explore the Serengeti Plains

You will be one of the lucky people to enjoy the Hot Air balloon over the Serengeti. You will be floating above the bush as you spot wildlife as also enjoy the wonderful scenery of Africa, across the rivers and over the small villages. We shall have breakfast after viewing the game along the seronera River circuit, that drops into the plains that are south of the Seronera River and is so good for the lions, gazelles, topis, ostrich, as well as the cheetahs.  There is also the visitor’s center that is not far from the Serengeti Seronera Lodge as well as the public campsite worth a visit after enjoying the morning game drive. This center offers good wildlife displays and a gift shop that sells the information leaflets as well as the maps of the area. It has also got a shop that sells drinks as well as snacks, there is also a picnic area as well as the information trail near the Kopje. We shall have a chance to enjoy a picnic lunch at the exact center with in the giant acacia trees.

In afternoon, we will then follow the kopjes area that goes around the Maasai Kopjes that attracts many lions as well as the large cobras. These kopjes are also weathered granite out crops and they are scattered around the plains which are the miniature ecosystems that provide drinking water as well as shade in the rocks after the rains. This has made these kopjes so good for spotting wildlife especially in the dry season.

Day 4: Depart to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Have breakfast at the lodge and after start your journey to Ngorongoro Conservation Area having a stopover at the Olduvai Gorge that boasts the history that dates back to the dawn of time. This was the place where the anthropologists Drs Lois and Mary Leakey discovered the human skulls which are both significant links to the famous chain of human evolution.

We shall arrive in time for lunch at the lodge and then spend the whole afternoon at the lodge for leisure.

Day 5: Enjoy a game drive in the Ngorongoro Crater

Have breakfast and after descend over 600m into the magnificent crater for a full day game drive. The crater is also one of the most densely crowded wildlife areas in Africa and is home to over 30,000 animals that include the black Rhinos. This carter is also supported by a round water supply and the fodder, this national park also supports variety of animals including; zebras, buffalos, warthogs, wildebeests, buffalos, elands, the hippos, as well as the giant African  elephants. There are also a huge population of the predators including the lions, hyenas, leopards, jackals, and the cheetahs. We will then enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor.

Day 6: Transfer to Tarangire National Park

Have breakfast and after drive to Tarangire National Park, this national park runs along the line of the Tarangire River and is mainly made of the low lying hills of the Great Rift Valley floor. This is a natural vegetation that consists of the acacia woodland as well as the African Baobab trees with the huge swamp areas in the southern part of the park. Both the swamp and the river act like a spot for wild animals especially during the dry season. This park is also contains some of the wild animals including the elephants, greater Kudu, the fringed eared Oryx and the Ashy Starlings. After lunch, we shall have an afternoon game drive.

Day 7: Departure

We shall enjoy breakfast and have an early walk as well as enjoy watching the flamingoes, after transfer back to Arusha and on arrival, we shall have lunch and then we shall end our safari from here.
